How does it function?

The Chamber’s mission translates into the following critical strategies:
Represent the interest of the Metrocom business community before legislative, administrative and governmental bodies.
Sponsor conferences, seminars, meetings, educational programs and workshops for the purpose of studying business issuesand exchanging information about business trends and policy issues of importance to business.Utilize state-of-the-art technology to communicate with the Chamber membership on a regular basis.

Serve as a repository of information, research and data pertaining to business and economic development .
Promote constructive cooperation among the Metrocom business community and the various governmental agencies within the Metrocom area.
Address important public policy issues that impact the Metrocom business community.
Aggressively promote responsible economic growth.

Encourage business involvement and participation.

About the Metrocom Area

The Metrocom includes 10 communities within Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties in South Central Texas. Its located in a 70 square mile triangle on the IH-35 San Antonio-Austin Corridor and is strategically located for sustained growth, high quality of life and continued economic development. The 10 Metrocom Cities, the nearby Randolph Air Force Base and the entire region is unique in its simultaneous commitment to a laid back lifestyle and an aggressive business climate. It is both a quality place to live and a productive place to work. Its a special place in a region and a state already setting precedents at the forefront of progress. The regions economy has a multiplicity of components military, education, medical, manufacturing, retail and service making it possible for a potpourri of businesses of varied size to prosper. Whether you’re visiting friends and relatives at Randolph Air Force Base or in our ten member cities…or even San Antonio for that matter, the Metrocom is the place to be.
